Your new, flexible way to teach with East Durham College

East Durham College is urgently seeking to recruit a pool of professional supply staff to provide part-time training and teaching in a wide range of leadership, business and digital-related subjects, construction, electrical and engineering subjects, as well as first aid and even sign language.

We are looking for new staff who would work on an hourly or day rate, either directly employed by the college or invoiced as self-employed (proof required).

Areas of Expertise Urgently Required

  • Leadership and Management – general and including dealing with conflict, managing familiar staff, emotional intelligence, 360 feedback
  • Sales and Marketing – general and including upselling / cross-selling
  • Customer Service
  • Coaching and Mentoring
  • Digital Skills – general and including using SharePoint, Excel and workplace digital skills
  • Media Training / Public Speaking
  • PAT Testing / 18th Edition
  • Electric Vehicle Charging Point Installation
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • Chainsaw Training (CS30/31) including medium tree felling
  • PA1 / PA6
  • CAD
  • Basic Joinery
  • Basic Painting and Decorating
  • Mental Health First Aid
  • Paediatric First Aid / First Aid
  • Makaton / Sign Language

The Ideal Candidates 

The College needs a bank of supply staff it can call on to respond to employers' training needs and requests as they arise. The College is experiencing an already high, and growing, demand for this type of training.

Therefore we need candidates who can be flexible and can deliver training in blocks throughout the year, e.g. a few days or week blocks.

You will need experience in providing employer-facing training work.
