BHS Silver Challenge Award Horse Care Pathway

Silver challenge awards are a BHS (British Horse Society) qualification aimed at recreational riders/equestrians. It is split into 2 sections: About the Horse and About the Rider. This is the About the Horse section of the course.

C&G Level 1 Award in Land-based Studies - Introduction to Wildlife & Conservation January 2026

This 10 week course includes aspects of plant establishment, propagation and maintenance. Students will be taught the fundamentals of getting plants started from seeds and cuttings, in both woody and non-woody plants as well as preparing the soil to create ideal conditions for plant growth.
