This course is designed for students new to the construction sector and who have an interest in painting and decorating, providing a basic introduction to decorating skills.

Build yourself up a future career as a bricklayer with this brickwork course, taught in East Durham College's fantastic bricklaying workshop at our Peterlee campus.

This Level 2 course will help you perfect skills such as applying paint materials by brush and roller, standard wallpapers to non-complex walls, decorative finishes and paint materials by HVLP spray. The main focus of the level 2 programme is to enhance skills, knowledge and behaviours ready for industry. Sessions will be delivered in both a workshop environment (for practical work) and a classroom environment (for theory work). Also incorporated into the study programme will be maths & English, tutorial, work experience, academic tutorial and relevant trips & guest visits.

Unleashing your potential. This course provides students with an introduction to dog grooming and the legislation surrounding the profession. Students will gain skills in bathing, drying and overall coat maintenance of all coat types, with an emphasis on safe working practice and animal welfare.
