Accounting is one of the backbones of the modern world, and the backbone of business. Behind every successful company is a skilled accountant – who understands how to use their knowledge of finance, mathematics, statistics, and economics to grow a business. Accounting looks specifically at the daily flow of money in and out of a business, keeping an eye on the balance and avoiding any future challenges.

Economics is not simply all about numbers. It is the study of the world around us from a social, financial and cultural perspective, gaining an understanding of economic theories and interrelationships between macro and micro economic issues. You will develop your analytical, numeric, communication and problem-solving skills and cultural awareness.

This course is designed for students new to the construction sector and who have an interest in painting and decorating, providing a basic introduction to decorating skills.

This Level 2 course will help you perfect skills such as applying paint materials by brush and roller, standard wallpapers to non-complex walls, decorative finishes and paint materials by HVLP spray. The main focus of the level 2 programme is to enhance skills, knowledge and behaviours ready for industry. Sessions will be delivered in both a workshop environment (for practical work) and a classroom environment (for theory work). Also incorporated into the study programme will be maths & English, tutorial, work experience, academic tutorial and relevant trips & guest visits.

Study part-time, during the day at East Durham College on our Level 2 AAT Accountancy course! Ideal for those looking to start their career in accountancy.
