The aim of this 10-week course is to provide a safe introduction to the Horticulture sector. Giving you vital industry insight to help you make informed career decisions and allow you to progress to further qualifications and employment opportunities. We hope it will inspire you to grow and to continue learning.
The purpose is to introduce basic Carpentry and Joinery skills and knowledge to those who have either no, or very little, prior experience. This is an introductory Carpentry and Joinery course is run over 12 weeks, 3 hours each session (Tuesdays) and is aimed at adults, aged 19+, who have an interest in improving their home or might be interested in progressing onto our full time course.
This course covers the use of handheld leaf blowers and vacuums, including pre-use checks, maintenance, identification of controls and operating the machine to blow or collect vast amounts of leaves to its capacity.
