The Level 2 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering course has been designed to equip learners with an essential foundation skills developing both the practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for success in the dynamic field of engineering.

This qualification covers the fundamental skills and knowledge required for Engineering Technicians within the industry, the units will mainly be delivered within a classroom environment and some workshop sessions.

This course will provide you with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of metalworking techniques, advanced skills in fabrication and welding techniques, and an understanding of the importance of health and safety in the workplace.

The EPQ offers the chance for A Level students at ED6 to gain real independence, resilience and maturity as learner, while pursuing any topic of your choosing. It is equivalent to 50% of an A Level and is well regarded by universities as evidence that the transition from college to university will be a smooth one and may be taking in to consideration in their conditional offer or provide additional UCAS points.
