EDC Uniform, PPE & Kit
When You Need Uniform or Specialist Equipment
Some courses require students to purchase uniform, PPE, or specialist kit. You will have been informed at interview or enrolment if your course requires these items.
How to order and apply for discounts
Subject to household income, you may be eligible for free mandatory uniform, kit, or equipment.
- Apply for EDC Student Financial Support through the PayMyStudent portal
- After assessment, you will receive an email confirming whether you qualify for free kit. Keep this email, as you must show it when collecting your items (most Kit/PPE will be issued within the first 2 weeks of your course).
Sizing – important
The college provides sizing samples for all mandatory clothing and footwear. You will be able to try these on during Enrolment or your first week to ensure you order the correct size.
Uniform, kit and equipment discounts
Eligible students can receive discounts on required uniform, sports kit, or specialist equipment.
- Household income £80,000 or below: 100% discount
- Household income £80,001 or above: 0% discount
These discounts are means‑tested, non‑transferable, and have no cash alternatives.
If your course does not require uniform or PPE, you may wear your own clothing to college.
