Already got a Level 2 Engineering qualification and eager to progress even further? This Level 3 pathway further builds upon the skills you earned in level 2, with a focus on fabrication and welding.
You can expect to gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of metalworking techniques and advanced skills in fabrication and welding techniques, and health & safety in the workplace.
Topics
As we run this course based on the fabrication and welding pathway, you can expect to cover a total of six units under this pathway.
This consists of three mandatory units:
• Engineering Health & Safety
• Engineering Principles
• Principles of Fabrication & Welding
Learners must also complete one optional module from this list:
• Manual Metal Arc Welding of Materials
• MIG Welding of Materials
• TIG Welding of Materials
And ONE additional optional module from:
• Platework Fabrication of Materials
• Sheet Metalwork Fabrication of Materials
• Fabrication & Erection of Structural Steelwork
• Pattern Development for Fabrication
• Pipe & Tube Fabrication
The modules you take will be discussed with the lecturer during the course to ensure you are getting the most out of your qualification and your progression.
